It was a night of fantastic food -- eating and hearing about it. First a 2-hour meal at Txori. Tapas and the best cocktails I've had in a long time. We ate here back in November, but it warranted another go. In fact, I'm ready to go back again anytime! The 2 things that stick out particularly this time were the desserts! An orange flan that was to die for and a chocolate cake sweetened with beets. OMG. Plus I had the best cocktail. Pirat rum. Lime. Grenadine. A slice of heaven on a beautiful spring evening sitting out of doors and having someone bring you small plate after small plate...Bourdain was as entertaining as always. He's got stories to tell. Opinions to opine. My favorite was the thought he left us with - the rudeness of being a traveler and vegetarian. They just don't mix. You can't go against thousands of years of tradition, culture, and hospitality.
